Fremont Insurance has been investing and insuring exclusively in Michigan since 1876 with a history of stable rates and excellent claim service.

We are confident your Fremont Insurance home, condo, or renters insurance policy will provide exceptional protection for your home or condo and/or your personal belongings.  While the standard version of each of these insurance policies provides excellent coverage there are a variety of endorsements available to upgrade your insurance protection.

An insurance endorsement, sometimes referred to as a rider or optional form, is simply an amendment or addition to an insurance policy contract.  The following list provides an overview and brief description of some of the more popular endorsements available:

Form H-PEC: Property Enhanced Coverage (Available with home policies) - Provides a comprehensive package of valuable benefits for homeowners including:

Form H-GRC: Replacement Cost Protection - Dwelling (Available with home policies) - In the event of a loss the insurance company agrees to pay the full cost to rebuild your home even if the cost to do so exceeds the dwelling coverage limit stated on your policy (certain restrictions apply).

Form H-15: Special Personal Property Coverage (Available with all policies) - A standard home, condo, or renters policy covers your personal belongings for specifically named perils.  This means for a potential loss to be covered the cause of the loss (i.e. - theft) must be among those "named perils" listed within the policy.  The Special Personal Property Coverage endorsement amends the policy to provide "all risk" coverage for personal belongings - any loss to personal property is covered unless it is specifically listed on this form as being excluded.

Form FM-EE: Personal Electronic Equipment (Available with all policies) - Provides "all risk" coverage up to $5,000 ($2,500 per item) with a $100 deductible for an array of personal electronics including:

Specific form numbers are identified in bold print as these are noted on Fremont Insurance policy declarations pages providing an easy way to confirm any endorsements included with your policy.

It should be noted while this list provides an overview it is by no means a comprehensive listing of all the endorsements available for home, condo, or renters insurance policies.  Additional endorsements are available for a variety of unique items and situations including increased limits of coverage, additional buildings on and off premises, structures rented to others, small watercraft, recreational vehicles, and snowmobiles.

As referenced in our blog "How To Be A Smart Insurance Buyer" it is important for you to take an active role when purchasing an insurance policy.  Take time to ask questions, understand your coverage, and convey to your agent any unique concerns so they can tailor your policy to meet your specific needs.
